The first trip to Meadowhall was a success
and a visit to Nottingham for Christmas Shopping planned for 11 December. If you have any ideas for future shopping

that the Bakewell service will not run in January and February because of
possible weather problems and it will re-start in March. Book early and
especially if you are taking a Wheelchair bound person. A list of dates will be published in December

CAR SCHEME
The
Parish Council has supported the scheme and would like to see more and more
people using it. If you have doubts, but feel that you would like to use the
scheme which is designed to get you out and about, phone John Wardle on (01246)

ELECTIONS
Parish Council
elections will take place in May 2007 – if you would like to know more about
being a Parish Councillor, phone Sara Atkinson on (01246) 863018 or speak to
any Parish Councillor.
YOUTH FORUM
The Parish
Council is considering setting up a ‘Youth Forum’. If you are interested in representing other young people in the
parish on an informal basis, phone Cllr Steve Dronfield on (01246) 590721.

ASHOVER INDOOR BOWLS CLUB
Ashover Indoor Bowling Club would like to recruit more
members from Ashover Parish at present they have vacancies for members both
on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The club meets in the Parish Hall on Tuesdays and
Wednesdays at 2pm until 4.30pm. It is a good game easily learned and
played in a friendly relaxing atmosphere. A FREE trial game is offered to would
be bowlers, Green Fee £1.00 per session, all welcome.

Corner’ in Ashover for winning the prestigious
National Cider Pub of the Year Award with the judges being delighted to honour
a pub outside of traditional cider making areas such as Herefordshire and
Somerset.
