ASHOVER SOCIAL CAR SCHEME

Are you aware that Ashover Parish has its own social car scheme? Many users find it an invaluable way of getting to the Doctors or Hospital or to make journeys across this difficult Parish.

The scheme is run by voluntary drivers from your community who give of their time to help other adults who for one reason or another are not mobile. It is not a taxi service and the charges are 40p per mile from the drivers start point to destination and return; an estimate can be given on request.

Your regular lift may not be available or you may have an injury that stops you from driving, you have stopped driving or have an urgent Hospital Appointment you need to keep, if so this service is for you!

What you need to do is simply complete an application form and pay £2 joining fee to be included on the programme

If you would like to become a voluntary driver please contact Wendy Taylor more drivers mean less journeys for those currently operating the scheme! Your insurance is protected by our insurance.

DATES FOR 2013

NEW FOR 2013 - DOBIES GARDEN WORLD

March 25th Depart Ashover 10am stay for 2 hours, then to McArthur Glen East Midlands shopping centre, leaving at 3pm to return to Ashover.

Cost £7.00

BAKEWELL MARKET

April 29th, June 10th, July 8th, August 19th, September 23rd

Cost £4.00

DERBY

Westfield Centre October 14th   - cost £7.00

SHEFFIELD

Meadowhall    November 11th  - cost £7.00

All Buses pick up at Littlemoor, Milltown, Kelstedge, and Ashover Parish Hall. Those to Bakewell leave at 10am, Return at 2pm stopping at the Chatsworth Farm Shop arriving Ashover 3pm.

Westfield Centre and Meadowhall trips leave Littlemoor at 9.30 am and return from destination at 4pm.
